Mr. Abdulrahman is the Senior Director of Fixed Access Network department of Etisalat which is responsible for the FTTH deployment, Fiber To The Mobile sites and Network Transformation within the entire UAE as well as Access Network Technology. The task managed by Mr. Abdulrahman covers the scope of providing Fiber access infrastructure to 2.2 million strong residential and business tenancies, transport network connecting all switches, Fiber backbone of mobile sites and GPON network deployment, such as GPON, XGS-PON etc. Further, replacing the aging legacy network with Fiber based IP platform is a major task assigned under the work portfolio.
During the last 16 years, as a telecommunication professional with Etisalat, Mr. Abdulrahman has gained a wealth of experience in a wide spectrum of technological and management landscape under challenging circumstances. His career was enriched with involvements in strategic and technological initiatives, process automation, budget control, Project & Performance Management, Negotiation & Contract Management, vendor management and formulation of Policies & Guidelines that helped the Corporation to lead as an advanced and modern telecommunication giant in the industry.
Mr. Abdulrahman has earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Khalifa University and MBA from Abu Dhabi University, which has provided him with all the required solid academic credentials to blend the dynamic market demands with innovative technologies.
Besides being an established professional, Mr. Abdulrahman is also a keen Traveler, with major interest in reading business journals, books, and publications.
