Dietmar Pöltl (49) serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Tele Columbus Group since October 2018. In his role, he is responsi-ble for central technics, construction and infrastructure projects, the development and operation of the IP services, network operations, the technical service as well as the IT. His primary task is to drive forward technical innovations in the network infrastructure and to expand the regional performance leadership in broadband services.  

Dietmar Pöltl holds a Master’s degree in electronical engineering and has more than two decades of professional experience in the cable and telecommunications sector. He started his career at Aus-tria’s first alternative mobile provider max.mobil. This was followed by different leading positions at T-Mobile Austria and T-Mobile Inter-national between 1997 and 2007. In 2008 Dietmar Pöltl joined the Austrian cable network provider Tele2 as CTO.  

In 2012 the native Austrian moved on to become VP Central Network and Assurance Management at Kabel Deutschland. In doing so he led the harmonization and the extension of the company’s HFC network following the takeover by Vodafone. In 2016 he became VP Service Assurance Center at Vodafone and was responsible for the operations of mobile, cable and fixed-line.
