KommR Karl Bauer

Karl Bauer quickly found his path towards innovation in the fiber optics industry. He saw the potential in the sector while working as a project manager and R&D coordinator in a similar field. It didn’t take long for him to embark on the path of creating a multimillion-euro company which would later grow into the international conglomerate that it is today.

Throughout the years Karl Bauer has not only served as a Managing Director for NBG GmbH but has also held high ranking positions such as member of the board on the IKT Task Force of the Austrian government and member of the board of the FTTH Council Europe. He has obtained multiple awards including Entrepreneur of the Year – Austria and Award of the Kommerzialrat of the former Federal Chancellor of Austria. He is also member of the “Industriellenvereinigung”, vice president of the chamber of commerce in lower Austria and senator of economics.
