Ionut joined Sunrise-UPC in Jan'22 overseeing the combined fixed access network infrastructure in terms of engineering, development and 2nd level operations.

He has more than 15 years of experience in fixed telecommunication business, occupying various management roles such as UPC Romania CTO for 4 years, VP of Integration and Operations for Liberty Global CEE cluster markets for almost 2 years, being heavily involved in access network expansion projects, M&As and cost efficiency initiatives. 

Before joining Sunrise-UPC he was part of Vodafone Group Network Engineering team for more than 2 years, being responsible for fixed gateways (CPEs) engineering and testing activities, covering  12 EU markets and all fixed access technologies: DOCSIS, xDSL and Fiber
