Carlo Filangieri, electronic engineer, is Chief Executive Officer of FiberCop where he was appointed in March 2021 after a long experience in the ICT sector in Italy and abroad.
Before that he was head of TIM Wholesale Market, a commercial division that sells services for 2 billion € to all the operators in the Italian market. Previously as head of Open Access, the large organization in charge of development and maintenance of access network, he drove the improvement of service quality, productivity and fiber coverage extension. From 2012 to 2014, as Chief Technical Officer in TIM Brazil, he launched one of the largest Active Sharing deal in order to develop 4G and provided, in the main Brazilian cities, TIM Live fiber service that took place by the synergies with Fiber-to-the-site strategy for mobile. From 2008 to 2011, he worked as IT Infrastructure director of Shared Service Center Company, putting in place with his team the first Italian projects of Cloud Computing and Virtual Desktop.
In his career he was involved in many M&A projects, like brazilian tower spin off in 2014 and, in 2016, the incorporation of Flash Fiber, joint venture between TIM and Fastweb for fiber rollout in the main 29 italian cities. He acted as director in many boards (TIM Brazil, Flash Fiber and TN Fiber). He is member of “Quadrato della Radio”, association of Telco experts.
